About Us

Trek Plus was founded in 1987 in St. Helier, Jersey and we supplied clothing and equipment to local Scout Association members as well as a growing band of civilian shoppers who wanted quality products, reasonably priced, with good customer service. As the business grew we moved to larger premises in the same street (1991) and in 1993, one of the main shareholders, Graeme Pitman, became sole owner and we became a one-family business.

In late 2001 the Company, ever expanding, moved to a larger shop near the town centre. With the improved location came increased footfall and turnover and the following year we acquired the shop next door and expanded. Several years after that, the unit on the north side of the main shop was also taken to house the new "Boot Room".

The three directors are now mother Freda (Chairman) and daughters Christine and Roisin who collectively have enormous experience in outdoor pursuits, from camping, trekking and travelling to expeditioning and winter sports. The knowledge acquired over many years leaves them in a unique position of having the expertise to accompany the quality products that Trek Plus provides.
